The Kurash Association of India organized the first South Asian Kurash Championship (senior and junior) was held from April 6 to 21. Moreover, the International Open Tournament was held from April 11 to 13 at Esfarayen, Iran.
Consequently, a trial selection for the Indian team was held from March 16 to 17 in Punjabi University Sports Department Indoor Hall, Patiala.
