Uber is enhancing its sustainability efforts by introducing new features to promote eco-friendly rides. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced the addition of an “emissions savings” feature, allowing customers to track the environmental impact of choosing greener options like Green or Comfort Electric rides.
To further incentivize eco-conscious choices, riders selecting Uber Comfort Electric or Uber Green will receive reduced fares and exclusive access to dedicated pickup zones at select airports. The company is also expanding its services, launching UberX Share in 18 additional cities globally and introducing Uber Green in Australia, extending its eco-friendly options to over 140 cities worldwide.
These initiatives align with Uber’s commitment to encouraging riders and drivers to contribute to environmental sustainability.
