The ABPCO Festival of Learning was held in the 1st week in Glasgow, welcoming 150 industry professionals for two days of education and networking. Keynote speaker Dr. Tharaka Gunarathne shared brain science tips for productivity and stress reduction. Sessions addressed the societal and economic impacts of events, the blend of technology and human creativity in event management, and public speaking.
The workshops included ‘Adapting to the Future with Limited Resources’, introducing a tool to measure conference contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, along with discussions on risk management and event accessibility, underscoring ABPCO’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity.
The festival was supported by the SEC, Glasgow Convention Bureau, and GES, and fostered growth and innovation. ABPCO co-chairs Sarah Byrne and Emma Duffy praised the event’s success and collaborative spirit, while SEC’s Kathleen Warden highlighted the event’s relevance and community engagement.
