The conference will also address responses to other public health threats, such as COVID-19 and smallpox. By fostering collaboration and aligning efforts towards a unified and equitable response, AIDS 2024 aims to signal to the world the importance of prioritizing evidence-based approaches that prioritize people.
Since its inception in 1985, the International AIDS Conference has been instrumental in advancing the global HIV response, serving as a platform for scientific advancements, advocacy, and human rights initiatives.
