The Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC), founded in 1998, is a multinational, voluntary organization focused on advancing infection control practices to reduce hospital-acquired infections, combat emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, and improve patient outcomes.
APSIC brings together multidisciplinary professionals across the Asia Pacific region to share knowledge, experience, and research findings through workshops, seminars, congresses, and conferences.
The organization’s goals include building a network of infection control experts, promoting the exchange of information on infection prevention, and encouraging quality improvement initiatives.
APSIC also facilitates collaborative partnerships to promote cost-effective, evidence-based practices and assists in formulating guidelines and recommendations through consensus working groups. Additionally, APSIC works with both governmental and non-governmental organizations on research, investigations, and outbreak responses involving emerging pathogens. Through these efforts, APSIC aims to strengthen infection control practices and promote better healthcare outcomes throughout the Asia Pacific region.
