The 75th Annual National Conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society was convened at Le Méridien Kochi from January 18 to January 21, 2024.
This prestigious event was led by led by Dr. P Joseph Varghese, Chairman, and Dr. Anoop Vincent, Organizing Secretary of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Cochin Local Branch. The theme, “Psychiatric Care: Problems, Progress & Prospects,” reflected on the journey of education, research, and service to humanity over 75 years.
Despite challenges, including the lingering impact of the COVID-19 crisis, the conference aimed to celebrate achievements, analyze current issues, and plan for the future. With Kerala’s lush landscape as a backdrop, attendees were encouraged to participate not only in commemorating the occasion but also in shaping the path forward.
