The Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA) is proud to announce its third anniversary since its launch in June 2020. In just three short years, ASPA has experienced phenomenal growth, welcoming over 200 members from 11 countries. Notably, 32% of the members are students, highlighting the organization’s commitment to nurturing the future generation of physical activity advocates.
Reflecting on the past year, ASPA has achieved remarkable milestones. These include hosting its second annual conference, with over 200 delegates in attendance, marking a significant step towards in-person events post-Covid-19. The organization also organized eight engaging webinars, workshops, and video series covering a wide range of topics. Furthermore, ASPA launched a new special interest group focused on “Physical Activity in Healthcare” and actively advocated for physical activity in response to an Australian Government Consultation Paper.
ASPA extends its heartfelt gratitude to its members for their invaluable contributions and looks forward to an exciting future of advancing the science and practice of physical activity in the region.
