BESarawak has introduced the #TRIBESPIRIT team-building product for the corporate meetings and incentives market in Sibu, aiming to position the city as a destination for such events. The launch was officiated by Councillor Clarence Ting, Chairman of the Sibu Municipal Council and Sibu Business Events Committee.
The team-building program involves 25 participants experiencing challenges around Sibu to promote the city’s tourism, hospitality, and team-building capabilities. The event commenced with a motivation session by Asia Ability, a renowned corporate training provider. Councillor Clarence emphasized the city’s unity in hosting international business events, and #TRIBESPIRIT reflects the belief that Sibu is stronger when moving forward together.
Sibu has witnessed a 102% increase in economic impact, delegate numbers, and job opportunities since 2021, making it an emerging city for business events in Sarawak. The #TRIBESPIRIT team-building initiative is a collaborative effort involving BESarawak, the Sibu Business Events Committee, Sibu Municipal Council, La Vie Event Management, Borneo Plux Events, Greatown Travel, and Asia Ability.
