ICCA, in partnership with BestCities Global Alliance, has revealed the finalists for the 2023 Incredible Impacts Programme and the recipient of the Seed Fund Grant. These accolades celebrate the extraordinary contributions of international association meetings in creating lasting impacts beyond tourism.
The 2023 Incredible Impacts Programme finalists, chosen by an association peers panel, are:
- Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) – ACWW Women’s Empowerment Summit, Khovd, Mongolia 2023. The summit in Mongolia empowered women survivors of domestic violence, focusing on rural women who often lack representation.
- British Society Of Soil Science – Environmental Education: Leaving a long-lasting impact, locally and globally 2022. The World Congress of Soil Science in Glasgow set new standards for environmental responsibility at international scientific congresses, engaging local communities and conducting the first-ever environmental impact assessment.
- European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) – Velo-city 2023 Leipzig – Boosting the development of active mobility. The conference aimed to elevate cycling on political agendas, benefiting the environment and health.
International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) has received the $5,000 USD Seed Grant. The winner will be announced during the ICCA Congress on November 15th in Bangkok, with delegates and an expert panel selecting the most impactful project.
