The Bristol region in the west of England is poised for a substantial boost in its capacity for large-scale events with 3 major developments scheduled over the next three years. The YTL Arena Bristol, set to open in late 2025, will offer a total capacity of 19,000 visitors, featuring a versatile East Hangar with 6,000 sqm of pillar-free floor space.
The Bristol Beacon, a music venue, is set to reopen in November 2023 after a five-year renovation, enhancing its Beacon Hall and Lantern Hall capacities, along with introducing a new Weston Cellar space. Additionally, the Ashton Gate Sports and Convention Centre, under construction, will provide 4,000 sqm of floor space and a 232-room hotel.
Meet Bristol and Bath foresees these expansions positioning Bristol among destinations like Glasgow and Manchester in terms of delegate capacity, marking an exciting transformation for the city on the international stage.
