The CRS 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo in Bologna, Italy, convened successfully from July 8-12, 2024. The conference theme, “Integrating Delivery Science across disciplines,” emphasised combining multiple knowledge domains, including pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, biotechnology, materials science, chemistry, molecular imaging, and clinical translation, to benefit patients and their families.
For the first time, the conference was held in Italy, in the historic city of Bologna, renowned for its university, culinary tradition, and medieval architecture. The AMPC developed a program that balanced learning from experts in delivery sciences, nanomedicine, imaging, and artificial intelligence with exploring Bologna’s cultural heritage. The activities included industry-led workshops, scientific forums, and engaging discussions in local trattorias.
