The International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, is preparing to celebrate Global Exhibitions Day on June 5, announcing that 131,800 people will attend 16 exhibitions in the last quarter of FY2023/24. These exhibitions will boost trade in industries such as manufacturing, construction, food services, and clean energy. This aligns with the Australian government’s “Future Made in Australia Act,” promoting manufacturing and clean energy projects.
ICC Sydney CEO Geoff Donaghy highlighted the significant economic and social benefits of exhibitions, noting their role in fostering investment, networking, and innovation. The Australian Manufacturing Week expo, sponsored by the NSW Government, attracted 6,000 attendees, 270 exhibitors, and 15 speakers, showcasing technological advancements in manufacturing.
Kim Banks of the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited praised ICC Sydney for providing an ideal venue for industry professionals to network and witness cutting-edge machinery. The Sydney Build Expo, which saw 50,000 attendees engaging with over 600 exhibitors and 500 speakers, is set to expand further in 2025, covering ICC Sydney’s entire Exhibition Centre. Managing Director James McKenzie emphasized the expo’s role in uniting diverse construction professionals and commended ICC Sydney’s exceptional service.
The upcoming ARBS 2024 event, focusing on HVAC&R and building services, is expected to be the largest yet, featuring over 340 exhibitors and 9,000 visitors, highlighting advancements in sustainable technologies. CEO Amanda Searle noted the event’s contribution to the “Future Made in Australia” vision.
Additionally, ICC Sydney will host three home construction shows, several food and beverage exhibitions, and retail and commerce events, all expected to exceed previous attendance figures.
