Harrogate Convention Center (HCC) has recently partnered with the Meetings Industry Association (MIA), a collaboration that brings significant benefits to HCC. As part of the association, HCC has obtained the prestigious MIA’s AIM (Accredited in Meetings) authorization, which serves as a benchmark for excellence in the meetings, conferences, and events sector.
The AIM authorization encompasses 50 standards that venues must meet to attain accreditation. This includes compliance with legal requirements, quality and accessibility checks of facilities, customer service protocols, ethical codes of conduct, and best practices.
Paula Lorimer, Director of Harrogate Convention Center, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the various advantages it brings, including valuable networking opportunities and a coveted industry standardization tool. The AIM authorization is a testament to the high standards upheld by the HCC team and instills confidence in event buyers that they are working with a venue operating at peak performance.
Kerrin MacPhie, Chief Executive of MIA, warmly welcomed Harrogate Convention Center as the newest member and emphasized how the authorization streamlines the decision-making process for organizers and purchasers, ultimately saving time and resources.
