Over half of the approved buyers come from global corporations, while around a third represent prominent associations, with the remainder from agencies. High-profile buyers from companies like American Express, BBC, and Coca-Cola, as well as various associations, are set to attend.
Gundes outlined her role in managing the Hosted Buyer program, ensuring that the team recruits the best buyers who have the budget and spending power to engage in meaningful business discussions. Approved buyers can specify their preferences and choose which exhibitors they want to meet, optimizing the matchmaking process.
IBTM World has improved the matchmaking system with a new guidance tool called WalkMe, enhancing the exhibitor-buyer interaction. This year, high-quality buyers will also have access to the platform to schedule meetings with exhibitors. Additional features such as the ability to search by venue size and region have been added to the appointment request process.
Gundes highlighted the exciting aspects of this year’s event, including the Association Leaders’ Forum, a knowledge program with purpose-driven content, and exclusive networking opportunities. She also discussed her role during the show, ensuring the smooth operation of the event, including logistical matters related to attendees’ travel and accommodation. With around 3,000 buyers from around the world, it promises to be a busy yet enjoyable event.
