ICCA has expanded its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean by opening a new office in the Panama Association Hub (PAH). Teaming up with PROMTUR, Panama’s destination management organization, the PAH serves as a platform for international organizations to grow in the Latin American market, fostering business, knowledge-sharing, and scientific advancement.
Senthil Gopinath, ICCA CEO, highlights the region’s growing appeal for international events and ICCA’s commitment to its development. Panama’s PAH aims to boost economic growth, attract foreign investment, and host international events. Fernando Fondevila, PROMTUR Panama CEO, and Eugenia Powell, PROMTUR Panama’s Director of Business Development, emphasize PAH’s role in advancing knowledge, innovation, and collaboration in the region.
ICCA’s regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Andres Escandon, acknowledged Panama’s efforts in building a strong association and scientific ecosystem. The new office in the PAH complements ICCA’s existing office in Montevideo, Uruguay, enhancing its presence and value for members and partners in the region.
Overall, the PAH is expected to drive the region’s transformation and encourage more international associations to establish themselves in Latin America and the Caribbean.
