India Energy Week 2024, hailed as India’s largest and only comprehensive energy exhibition and conference, was convened in Goa from February 6th to 9th, 2024. IEW 2024 anticipated over 35,000 participants, 350 exhibitors, and 4,000 delegates from more than 120 countries. The event promised a robust program featuring 80+ conference sessions with 400+ speakers, providing global insights into the energy sector.
Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing, and Urban Affairs, was slated to participate in multiple conferences, underscoring the event’s significance on the national stage.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, IEW 2024 aimed to further India’s stature in the global energy landscape. The event, hosted by the IPSHEM-ONGC Training Institute, Goa, promised to be dynamic and vibrant, reflecting Goa’s coastal charm.
Key themes of the event included energy transition, future-ready energy solutions, alternate fuels, and the impact of globalization on energy-related industries. Ministerial sessions, technical discussions, and roundtables fostered meaningful exchanges among industry experts, policymakers, academia, and entrepreneurs.
Organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, IEW 2024 catalyzed discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to propel India towards its energy transition goals. With meticulous planning by various government departments, including the nodal ministry at the Centre and the Goa administration, the event aimed to cover all logistical and environmental aspects to ensure minimal disruption to local life.
