IBTM World has unveiled a preview of its 2023 conference program, highlighting a lineup of innovative and inspiring speakers focused on promoting diversity within the events industry. The event aims to empower event professionals to embrace and celebrate diversity to shape the future of business.
The first keynote speaker, Maria Teixidor, a former member of the Board of Directors of Barcelona FC and the first woman to hold the position of Board of Directors’ Secretary, will share her experiences in a male-dominated football industry. Her session, titled ‘Beyond the Pitch: Maria Teixidor Unveils the Playbook for Leadership, Culture, and Equality at Barcelona FC,’ will offer insights into football leadership, team culture, and gender equality strategies.
Ellie Middleton, an autistic and ADHD speaker, will discuss ‘The future of events: neuro inclusion as a channel to cultivating belonging.’ She will join a discussion with representatives from Google and FIRST on embracing neurodiversity in event design.
IBTM World also introduces Workplace Revolution, where attendees can engage in relaxed, campfire-style conversations with inspirational figures. Samantha Stimpson B.Ed MA will host a workshop on “Creating diverse cultures,” and Richard John will discuss “Diversifying the Workplace,” including hiring individuals with learning difficulties.
