IndiGo will host the annual general meeting (AGM) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on June 8-10, 2025, in Delhi. This event returns to India after over four decades, last hosted in 1983 and before that in 1958.
With India’s record aircraft orders, growth, and infrastructure advancements, the country is poised to become the world’s third-largest aviation market within this decade. Willie Walsh, IATA’s Director General, highlighted India’s bright prospects as timely for the AGM.
At the 80th AGM in Dubai, IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers became chair of IATA’s board of governors, succeeding RwandAir CEO Yvonne Manzi Makolo, with his term concluding at the 81st AGM in Delhi.
