The International Trademark Association (INTA) has rescheduled its Annual Meeting in Dubai, UAE, from 2026 to 2029. The decision ensures that INTA can fully leverage Dubai’s benefits as a host city, enhancing the event’s success. Dubai, a regional hub for banking, trade, tourism, and travel, is well-equipped to host international visitors, with 85% of its population being expatriates and English widely spoken. The Dubai World Trade Centre, the meeting venue, hosted nearly two million visitors in 2022, including numerous international exhibitors.
Dubai’s status as an innovation and intellectual property (IP) hub, along with its significant INTA corporate and associate member presence, makes it an ideal location. INTA plans to strengthen its regional presence by potentially hosting a conference in Dubai before 2029. INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo expressed enthusiasm about the event, highlighting Dubai’s dynamic nature. The 2026 Annual Meeting’s location will be announced in May 2025 during the San Diego Annual Meeting.
