The ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter Conference announced that Leeds will host the 2025 event, following the success of the 2024 conference in Belfast. With a record-breaking attendance of 145 delegates and 25 local students, the 2024 conference focused on resilience and change, aligning with UNSDGs.
Key events included a leadership program for female students, discussions on greenwashing, and fostering inclusivity. Hosted by Visit Belfast and Belfast ICC, the conference featured tours, parallel sessions, and a gala dinner at the Titanic Experience, raising £725 for charity. Suzanne Singleton, Chapter Chair, commended the conference’s success as a platform for networking and planning for the future.
Sarah Iluyemi, Senior Manager at Visit Belfast, emphasized the event’s significance in showcasing Belfast’s capabilities and contributing to the region’s growth. The 2025 conference aims to build on past achievements, engaging the University community and leveraging Leeds’ cultural heritage and modern facilities for another successful gathering.
