The Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) recently participated in the Meetings Show London, alongside industry players from Penang, in a bid to promote Penang as a premier business event destination. The two-day international tradeshow, held from June 28 to 29, provided an excellent opportunity for PCEB to connect with global attendees and explore new markets. PCEB invited buyers to their dedicated pavilion, where the Penang delegation was available to address business needs and provide insights into the vibrant city. The bureau engaged in captivating marketing activities, including Teh Tarik and Roti Canai performances, showcasing Penang’s rich culinary delights.
A virtual reality corner titled “Penang – A Visual Trip!” offered participants an immersive journey through the city’s notable attractions, highlighting its mesmerizing beauty and vibrant culture. PCEB also organized an exclusive networking event at the Penang Pavilion, allowing attendees to forge partnerships and drive future collaborations. The presence of exhibitors such as Amari SPICE Penang, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, and Malaysia Airlines further enhanced the representation of Penang’s business event capabilities, fostering new business opportunities.
