The Rajasthan Tourism Department is embarking on an ambitious project to transform the tourism landscape of the state by identifying and developing new tourist destinations in all districts. This comprehensive initiative encompasses development, restoration, and conservation efforts for two unique tourist spots in each district, with the aim of spreading the economic benefits of tourism to every corner of the state.
The projects are already underway, supported by the Tourism Development Fund, with a total investment of INR 70.06 crore. These initiatives are set to revitalize Rajasthan’s tourism sector, offering a diverse and unique experience in every district.
Gayatri Rathod, Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department, highlighted the alignment of this initiative with the state’s budget announcement for 2022-23. The plan not only seeks to enhance existing tourist spots but also aims to create entirely new attractions for visitors.
Rashmi Sharma, Director of the Tourism Department, emphasized the collaborative approach involving various government departments and municipal bodies to ensure the success of these projects. The rapid pace of work reflects the commitment to reinvigorate Rajasthan’s tourism industry and provide diverse experiences for travellers.
