Seoul, South Korea, has been selected as the host city for the 2025 IPSA World Congress of Political Science, as announced by the Executive Committee during meetings in Istanbul in October 2022.
The congress is scheduled to take place from July 12 to 16, 2025, at the Coex Convention & Exhibition Center with the theme for the event, “Resisting Autocratization in Polarized Societies”. The Program Co-Chairs Prof. Irasema Coronado and Prof. Azul A. Aguiar Aguilar will guide the program.
Seoul, a dynamic city with a population of 10 million, serves as South Korea’s economic, cultural, and political hub. This congress will be a collaborative effort with the Korean Political Science Association (KPSA), and it is expected to draw a substantial turnout from political science communities in Asia and Oceania. The Partners for the event are the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation; International Science Council; Concordia University; Montréal International; and the International Association for Political Science Students.
The Korean Association has secured strong support from the South Korean government, the city of Seoul, and various universities and organizations within the country’s political science community.
