Taipei continued to strengthen its reputation as a premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination in the Asia Pacific region, attracting over 160 conferences, exhibitions, and incentive travel groups in 2023. The city ranks high in safety and MICE attractiveness, placing 3rd in the Asia Pacific region and 25th globally in the 2022 ICCA ranking.
The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government, has played a significant role in building Taipei’s appeal, showcasing its excellent event infrastructure and proximity to natural landscapes, diverse cultural experiences, and upmarket lifestyle offerings.
The city offers over 40,000 accommodation rooms and a variety of event venues, including unconventional spaces like The Grand Hotel and cultural hubs like the Taipei Performing Arts Center and Taipei Pop Music Center. Taipei’s welcoming atmosphere is evident in its recognition as the “Most Promising Muslim-Friendly City Destination of the Year” and its LGBTQ+ inclusive events, such as the annual Pride March.
