ARIS 2024, the inaugural conference of Robotic and Innovative Surgeons of India, marked a significant advancement in surgical technology. Held from March 1st to 3rd at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi under the leadership of Dr. Vivek Bindal, the event attracted over 700 delegates and faculty members. The conference featured live operative workshops, providing hands-on experiences and enlightening talks on robotic surgery from national and international experts.
They collaborated with the Clinical Robotic Surgical Society (CRSA) and the Surgical Society of Alimentary Tract (SSAT), and hosted prominent faculty from institutions like the Cleveland Clinic and Duke University. Special sessions covered gynaecology, thoracic, and urology advancements, with a cadaveric workshop at Sharda University showcasing all surgical robotic systems together for the first time.
The event also included the presentation of 100 scientific abstracts, a quiz on robotic surgery, and a convocation ceremony honouring the Faris 2022 batch. Notable attendees included Colonel HS Chahal and Dr. Ranjan Sudan, underscoring the event’s importance in robotic surgery’s future.
