The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 reported remarkable success, projecting deals exceeding $330 million, marking a 65% increase from 2023. With over 570 exhibitors and 595 hosted buyers, the event facilitated 17,000 meetings and attracted 4,000 attendees, including 70 media representatives.
Notably, satisfaction levels surpassed 90% among both exhibitors and attendees, positioning AIME among the top 10% of global trade shows. Half of the attendees were first-timers, and over 85% achieved their objectives.
Over 90% of exhibitors expressed intent to return for the next year’s event. Organized by Event Director Silke Calder and her team at Talk2 Media and Events, under Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), AIME 2024 solidified its premier status in the international business events community.
The success was attributed to the rigorous vetting of hosted buyers and AI-powered meeting matching. MCB CEO Julia Swanson highlighted AIME’s role in connecting global buyers and exhibitors, enhancing commerce in the Asia Pacific region. AIME 2024 featured a 63% increase in global exhibitor participation, showcasing diverse industry sectors and introducing new elements like “The Boutique” and the DMC Network zone.
The event’s Welcome Event at Grazeland and the Knowledge Program drew significant participation, reflecting AIME’s commitment to continual innovation and enhancement. Overall, AIME 2024 reaffirmed its position as a leading trade show on the international business events calendar, driving connectivity and collaboration in the APAC region and beyond.
