The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, serves as a common platform for Asia Pacific aviation stakeholders to address shared interests and concerns. It operates as a not-for-profit organization, funded by annual airline membership subscriptions. AAPA represents scheduled international airlines within GMT+5 to GMT+12 time zones and collaborates with specialized legal and aviation consultants in Brussels and Washington to navigate regulatory developments.

It closely monitors political and regulatory changes, engages with authorities, and provides industry data on traffic statistics and operational performance.
The association collaborates with various airline, industry, and government bodies worldwide, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airports Council International, World Health Organization, Air Transport Association Of Canada
Airlines For America, World Tourism Organization and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
AAPA hosted its 67th Assembly of Presidents in November 2023 where it adopted resolutions on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), Aviation Safety Culture, and Regulatory Impact.
Additionally, it announced plans to host the Asia and Pacific Turboprop Safety Conference in Kuala Lumpur in June 2024. This initiative aims to support regional turboprop operators providing essential airline services to cities and remote destinations in the Asia Pacific region.
