WSAVA, the World Small Association for Veterinary Science, has prepared the logistics for the 2028 annual congress. The 48th WSAVA World Congress will occur in Lisbon, Portugal, from September 27–29, 2023, followed by 2024 in Suzhou, China, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2026 in Warsaw, Poland, and 2027 in Hyderabad, India. The venue for 2028 hasn’t been decided.
The WSAVA World Congress is an opportunity for vets worldwide to come together, learn new things, share their ideas, and make friends with other vets. A group of vets organizes the event, with help from the WSAVA leadership team and a team that specializes in organizing big meetings. It is convened in different parts of the world: America, Europe/Middle East Africa, and Oceania.
The event is not only about talking about vet stuff, but they also have a program for experts from all over the world to share their latest knowledge. They try to connect vets from the same region so they can help each other improve. They even have projects where vets can volunteer to help people and animals in different parts of the world.
They add a fun element to the event where participants can enjoy and learn about the local culture. Also, there’s a big area where companies show their vet-related products. Moreover, the host group gets support and benefits, like being recognized for putting together such an important event for animal doctors.
