The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) have partnered to develop a structured framework for hotel sustainability to achieve GSTC certification.
The collaboration reinforces the existing WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics while providing a phased approach toward GSTC Certification for sustainable hotels. This move comes at a crucial time when sustainability is a key focus in the travel and tourism sector.
The three-stage framework for hotel sustainability involves the integration of WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics verification and GSTC Certification, supporting hotels in their journey toward comprehensive sustainability.
