World Architecture Travel (WAT) recently showcased an immersive architectural journey focused on the UNESCO-listed Durga Puja events in Kolkata. In collaboration with MassArt, UNESCO, and the British Council, the event featured 26 of the most innovative Durga Puja art pieces out of the 3000 displayed across the city from October 11 to October 15, 2023.
The initiative aimed to highlight the festival’s artistic, architectural, and local economic aspects, emphasizing the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression. Brijesh Shaijal, Founder of World Architecture Travel, emphasized that Durga Puja in Kolkata transforms into a captivating public art gallery, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
WAT, a unique travel portal exploring architecture and culture, is supported by The World Architecture Festival (WAF), fostering meaningful connections and promoting professionalism in architecture tourism through precisely designed trips led by eminent architects and professionals.
