The ICTMM 2024 Congress, with the theme “Global Responses and Interdisciplinary Research Towards Eliminating Tropical Diseases,” is set to take place between September 19–23, 2024, in Malaysia. The event will be jointly held with the 60th Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Conference (MSPTM 2024) and the 10th ASEAN Congress of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology (10th ACTMP).
More than 2,000 scientists, physicians, researchers, policymakers, and international authorities will gather to discuss critical topics such as malaria, neglected diseases, drug resistance, travel medicine, and zoonoses.
The Malaysian Society of Parasitology & Tropical Medicine, Business Events Sarawak (Sarawak), and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) collaborated in the event’s international bidding. It is organized by the International Federation of Tropical Medicine and Malaria (IFTM) and the Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSTPM) and is also supported by various government departments, health organizations, and educational institutions.
The event will translate knowledge and insights into practical solutions and interventions to address tropical diseases. The anticipated economic impact of the congress is RM24.6 million, with an additional 1,952 jobs created from organizing and hosting the event.
