Rajasthan will Diversify its Tourism Offerings by introducing Golf and Water Adventure activities.
Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Gehlot announced in the state budget for 2023–24 the international golf courses at five key tourist destinations, including Mount Abu (Sirohi), Jodhpur, and Udaipur.
The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) was appointed as the nodal agency for this. The RTDC issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) to seek suggestions from interested parties about the development and operation of golf courses.
They also issued an EOI for water activities at the Nevta Dam, Kanota Dam (both in Jaipur), and Bandh Baretha (Bharatpur). Water Adventure Tourism will have activities such as boating, speed boating, zorbing, pontoon boats, banana boats, and other facilities for tourists.
Golfers come on leisure trips for three to four days. They spend more than a normal tourist, which will not only increase revenue but also give the state an edge at the international level.
